BS in Biology
I obtained my BS in Biology from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Outside of the sciences, I concentrated on Creative Writing classes and French language courses.
Curiously, I served as Campus News Editor on the college radio station weekly news program, and volunteered as a reader for the radio station serving the sight-impaired community.
I spent a great deal of time in the darkroom developing black and white photographs and was a prolific writer of prose and poetry: my submissions were consistently rejected by the college's literary magazine.
I also spent two summers dissecting marine creatures in my own laboratory on the far-flung Eastern Shore of Virginia, and that's why I gave up science.
